This online program provides students an efficient and convenient pathway to the teaching profession. Our 5-week courses are flexible, affordable, and designed to accommodate work and life schedules – affording busy parents and professionals a wonderful opportunity to enrich their careers. The Associate’s of Science, Foundations of Education program offers students the opportunity to enter the program at any point during the onset of a new 5-week term. Courses are designed and taught by professionals that not only hold degrees in the areas they instruct but have proven their expertise in the education world. This degree program does not lead to initial teacher licensure.

What You'll Learn
The primary goal of this program is to equip students with skills essential to working with, mentoring, and teaching birth through twelfth grade students in a public or parochial school setting. These essential skills will be taught via courses in Educational Psychology, Child and Adolescent Development, Multicultural Education, Educational Technology, The Exceptional Child, The Foundations of Education, among others.Career Preparation
The plan of study is geared for entry level certified paraprofessional positions and entry level non-certified daycare workers. This associate’s degree provides students opportunities to easily transfer into a four-year teacher certification degree program.
Note: This degree program is NOT intended to prepare student Missouri teacher licensure.
