What are the requirements for admission?

For the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), you'll need the following:

  • Completed application
  • An earned Diploma or associate degree in nursing from a state-approved, institutionally accredited college or university
  • Have a current, unrestricted RN license in the state where the student plans to complete your practicum requirements. If licensed in more than one state, all must be unencumbered. Will need to show proof of license
  • Minimum of 2.5 GPA
  • All official transcripts from previously attended institutions*

For the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), you'll need the following:

  • Completed application
  • A BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) from an institutionally accredited college or university
  • Have a current, unrestricted RN license in the state where the student plans to complete your practicum requirements. If licensed in more than one state, all must be unencumbered. Will need to show proof of license
  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA
  • All official transcripts from previous graduate and undergraduate institutions*
  • Personal narrative that explains your interest in pursuing a graduate level education
  • Professional resume or vita indicating positions held that demonstrate task commitment, knowledge and skill relevant to the applicable course of study

How many transfer credits can I transfer in?

For the RN-BSN program, students may transfer up to 81 credits from other institutions. For the MSN program, transfer credits from other institutions are not accepted.

No, there is no application fee for the BSN or MSN at Trine University.

What are the costs?

The RN to BSN program at Trine University is $200 per credit hour for Union College Benefit students. This has been discounted from the regular tuiton rate of $250 per credit hour.

The MSN program at Trine University is $460 per credit hour for Union College Benefit students. This has been discounted from the regular tuiton rate of $575 per credit hour.
