Southeastern University: Transcripts

This article will help you understand Southeastern University's transcript and transfer credit policies and processes.

How many credits can a student transfer?

Students can transfer up to 90 hours for a bachelor's degree.

For more information, visit Southeastern University's site all about transfer students and their policies: https://seu.edu/admission/transfer/

How do I submit transcripts?

After you submit your application, you will need to submit high school and all official college transcripts to Southeastern University. You do not need to submit your high school transcripts if you have completed 60 credit hours or more at another academic institution.

Southeastern University will order transcripts for YOU! Here's how:

Southeastern University will assist in ordering college and high school* transcripts on your behalf and cover the fees associate with it. This is available if your previous institutions allow for third party ordering through Parchment.

To take advantage of this and get your transcript fees covered, fill out this consent form and send it to your Southeastern University admission counselor. If you have not applied to Southeastern University, apply here first and then submit the consent form to your admissions counselor.

*Please note that GEDs cannot be ordered through a third-party request.

If your previous school(s) do not allow requests through Parchment, you may need to request that your previous school send transcripts via US postal mail. Please check your previous school(s) website for more information.

What's an official transcript?

Transcripts are considered "OFFICIAL" when they are sent directly from the previous institution where the credit was earned and remain unopened.

What should I do if I cannot request a transcript from a previously attended school?

If you have a hold on your student account at a previously attended school that impedes your ability to request an official transcript, you must work with the school to clear the hold. If your previous school has closed, please contact the Department of Education for the state of the previous school you attended.

Do I have to pay for transcripts to be ordered?

Southeastern University can order on the student's behalf and pay for the transcripts (with a signed consent form) through Parchment  when the school(s) allows 3rd party ordering.

Complete the consent form so Southeastern University can order transcripts on your behalf.
