Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Global Education is intentionally and uniquely designed to equip and empower students who have a desire and feel called to serve in education as a classroom teacher (K–8). Integration of faith in education is embedded in coursework and will provide a solid foundation for teaching with a biblical worldview and perspective.

What You'll Learn

As an education student, you will engage in rigorous coursework that will focus on pedagogy, research-based best practices, literacy, classroom and behavior management strategies, and trauma-informed training for teaching diverse student populations. You will also learn about differentiation of instruction and strategies for supporting Exceptional Education and English Language Learners in the classroom. Your degree will culminate in the completion of a semester-long student teaching internship, where you'll plan and teach the curriculum as well as manage and assess learners.

Career Preparation

Although this degree program is not a state-approved program, it does have certification with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Career possibilities include elementary school teacher, middle school teacher, Christian international school teacher (K-8), private Christian school teacher (K-8).
