General Information on Admissions

This article lists common questions on the admission process in general, including transferring from another school and general requirements for admissions.

How do you transfer from a previous college?

Moving from one college to another is primarily about securing your transcripts. Once you've applied, we'll guide you on obtaining official transcripts for transferring prior credits. Don't let concerns about your past credits, grades, or experience deter you‚ our partner schools are well-equipped to handle all situations.

Can I transfer mid semester?

We recommend seeking guidance from your current college regarding your ongoing term. Typically, it is advisable to complete your current term before transitioning to a new school or college. You can apply now to ensure you're prepared for the upcoming term that aligns best with your schedule and preferences.

What is the recommended course load?

The course load will depend on the school you're enrolled in; however, you can attend either part-time or full-time. 12 credit hours is the minimum for full-time students at the undergraduate level, and students can take fewer hours to be considered a part-time student.

I am not an U.S. Citizen. Can I take advantage of the Union College Benefit?

You must reside in the US to submit your application, you do not have to be a US citizen. However, it is important to note that if you are NOT a US citizen you will have to pay out of pocket.

Do you know how many credit hours are required for graduation?

The number of credit hours could vary depending on if you have previous credits that could transfer in. Also, the number of credits vary depending on if you are looking at an Associate or a Bachelor's degree. Typically an associate degree is 60 hours for completion and bachelor's is 120 hours.

Do you need a high school diploma?

Our partner schools do require with their admission process that applicants have a high school diploma or GED.

How many bachelor's degrees can I get?

While there is no strict limit on the number of bachelor's degrees you can earn, pursuing multiple degrees is a significant undertaking. It's essential to carefully weigh the costs, benefits, and practicality of earning additional degrees and to consult with academic advisors to plan your educational path effectively.

Additionally, consider alternative pathways, such as graduate programs, certifications, or gaining relevant work experience, to achieve your career goals.
