Program Overview

Are you curious to know what the Miranda decision is and how it affects the rights of those arrested or being held in custody? How about the proper way to treat a crime scene? Central CC's Criminal Justice program can answer these questions and so many more. You’ll gain a valuable balance of criminal law as well as the fundamental skills you need for a career in the field.

Credits to Complete 62 credit hours Transfer Credits CCC accepts up to 75% of credits toward your award.

What You'll Learn

The criminal justice program provides a broad exposure to the criminal justice field and development of entry-level competencies for employment. It will contribute to upgrading knowledge and skills for those already employed in the field. Criminal Justice graduates are prepared to: Communicate and express himself/herself in a professional manner; apply learned knowledge of the criminal justice system; demonstrate analytical thinking skills, and demonstrate and embrace the importance of ethical conduct and behavior.

ABOUT:  Central Community College is a multi-campus community college located in Nebraska accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). For more than 30  years, Central Community College has offered online courses. They currently offer three degrees with 22 program specialties and over 260 courses online through the Virtual Campus.

ACCREDITATION: Accredited by the Higher Learning Comission (HLC)

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants are required to:

  • Complete an application
  • Optional: Provide official transcripts showing evidence of graduation from an accredited high school or an acceptable score on the General Education Development (GED) exam if you would like to utilize financial aid.
  • Optional: Applicants may also submit official transcripts from all post–secondary schools attended if you would like to transfer any previously earned credits.

TRANSFER CREDITS: CCC accepts up to 75% of credits toward your award.

COST: The cost is $160 per credit hour.
