This non-licensure program combines nursing curriculum with education and counseling courses to bridge the healthcare and education environments.  With a flexible online format, students may access the interactive courses at any time. 
    • Each course is 5 weeks, but students have the option of taking some semester-long courses if desired.
    •  Program may be completed in less than a year and half, alongside working full-time (with no clinical practicum or prerequisites required).

What You'll Learn

This program builds upon the National Association of School Nurses Framework for School Nursing Practice. Students will gain skills and knowledge by:
  • Analyzing ethical and legal situations, applying evidence-based research techniques and applying program  evaluation methods and support structures.
  • Creating professional innovative work products applicable to school nursing and develop leadership and communication skills to facilitate collaboration and results.
  • Assessing personal and professional opportunities to pave the way for a more inclusive culture recognizing diversity and social determinants of health.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: For graduate programs, you will need to:

  • Earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Complete the full application
  • Submit official college transcripts
  • Resume that details your education and work experience, including how they pertain to your career goals. 
  • Submit your personal statement. Write a 250-word, typed, double-spaced essay describing your professional experience, goals and objectives for graduate study. How do you expect your graduate studies to enhance your future career?
  •  Complete an interview. You’ll have an interview with Admissions or Faculty interview, generally by phone
  • Program Specific Requirements:  
    • Must have an active registered nurse license in your state
    • Open to any school nurses in any state – not associated with licensure in individual states.
For good cause shown, at the discretion of the Program Chair, institutional admissions requirements may be waived or altered upon written approval by the Program Chair.

COST:  The cost with the discount is $447 per credit hour, which has been reduced from $639 per credit hour. Plus, at Cambridge College, approximately 40% of courses eliminate the need for external books or materials.
